The Pistons have agreed to sign rookie free agent wing Jaden Henley to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to an announcement from Grand Canyon’s men’s basketball program (Twitter link).
Henley spent one season apiece with Minnesota, DePaul, and UNLV before making the move to Grand Canyon for his senior year. The 6’7″ guard/forward had a big season for the Antelopes, leading the team in points (17.7 PPG), assists (2.9 APG), and steals (1.6 SPG) while also contributing 5.7 rebounds per game in 32 starts. The performance earned him a spot on the All-MWC first team.
Henley was one of the highest-rated prospects who went undrafted this week, having ranked 64th on ESPN’s final pre-draft big board and 56th in Sam Vecenie’s draft guide for The Athletic. Vecenie lauds Henley for his play-making and defensive abilities, but notes that he doesn’t have a great wingspan and has been an inconsistent shooter (30.7% on three-pointers for his college career, including 26.8% as a senior).
The Pistons also intend to sign FIU forward Corey Stephenson to an Exhibit 10 deal, per a press release from the school.
A transfer from Cal State Bakersfield ahead of his senior year in 2025/26, Stephenson averaged 18.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.4 steals in 31.3 minutes per game across 31 appearances (all starts) for Florida International University, claiming a place on the All-CUSA second team. After attempting just 58 three-pointers in his previous two seasons, the 6’6″ swingman launched 176 this past season and hit 39.8% of them.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed training camp contract that lines up a player to earn a bonus worth up to $91K if he’s waived before the season begins and then spends at least 60 days with his team’s G League affiliate. It can also be converted into a two-way deal before opening night.
